Amrin A. Sloat graduated from Humber College with the Interior Decorating diploma. Before she took Interior Decorating she spent some time in the Architecture program at the same college. After attending architectural courses for a year she realized she chose the wrong profession then decided to switch.

 

When Amrin was a little girl she enjoyed creative activities. She also enjoyed watching HGTV with her mother rather than watching cartoons. She would practice drawing out floor plans and pretend she had to design the space she had created. A lot of Amrin's childhood, make-believe games were related to interior decorating which was the start of her career.
